EnviroCoat
Installation Company has been involved in many polyurea projects covering
a wide range of applications, from tank linings to bomb blast
mitigation. Examples of these projects can be found here.
Tanks, Primary & Secondary containment
Storage tanks are often highly regulated. Regular
inspections are required, reports are written, and certifications
are earned. Primary and secondary containment tanks that have
seemingly reached the end of their lifetime
are frequently brought back to a certified state by our polyurea
spray coating process.
One
such example is the Amtrak railcar cleaning facility in Wilmington,
Delaware. Amtrak depended on an aging tank at the facility to
capture all runoff generated by the cleaning process. EnviroCoat
reviewed the project, specified the coating system, prepared the
tank and equipment, and applied the new lining. The work was done
over the course of one weekend to minimize the operational impact of
having the cleaning facility offline. EnviroCoat started work on
Friday and completed the job on Sunday morning at 4:00 a.m.
Constant monitoring and inspection confirms that the lining
performance is 100% as specified.

Floor Coating, Mechanical Rooms, and processing plants
EnviroCoat,
through our relationship with Yorklyn Associates, was called to
Searle Pharmaceuticals in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. Searle had a
15,000 square foot mechanical room located directly above a
laboratory that contained pricey and sensitive equipment. Every
time a pipe malfunctioned in the mechanical room, the runoff flooded
the laboratory below, ruining millions of dollars of equipment and
priceless amounts of research. Because we designed our operation to
be completely self-contained and mobile, we were able to respond to
this urgent overseas need within hours. By spraying polyurea on the
floor, pipes, and duct work of the mechanical room, we were able to
alleviate the flooding of the laboratory and save Searle millions of
dollars in equipment and laboratory research.

Remember, the
quality of our performance and workmanship is guaranteed. We are
experts in the field of polyurea preparation and application. As
you consider your requirements, call
Todd Pote at EnviroCoat. Todd has been personally
trained by the inventor of spray polyurea, Dudley Primeaux, and the
leading polyurea equipment and product vendors. When you entrust
your project to EnviroCoat, you'll gain a measure of confidence you
can only get from working with a true polyurea professional. Thank
you for your interest!

From
CoatingsPro magazine...

"The application of polyurea is new to ships," says
Pete Judt, paint department head for Todd Pacific
Ship-yards in Seattle. But a test area of
Sherwin-Williams EnviroLastic applied on a trawler
performed quite well.

Case Study
|
|
Ray Meador, marine specialist at Sherwin-Williams
Industrial and Marine Coatings Group, says polyurea
coatings are ideal for marine applications for many
reasons. "Polyureas hold up where other systems
will fail," Meador notes.

"The fact that polyurea coatings are not sensitive to
moisture and humidity during curing means they can be
applied within a wider window of temperature and
weather conditions than traditional coatings.
They are an excellent choice when fast curing
applications are applied in high-humidity or
low-temperature conditions where extreme abrasion
resistance and a high film build are required."
